Yoga offered us a toolbox of skills for navigating a way to better, more conscious living through a clearer mind and perception of the world within us and around us.
In Yoga, looking at it as a philosophy for living, includes an abundance of tools – physical movement, breathing, mantras, teachings, meditations, kriyas – that enables us to reduce the tension in our mind, bodies and energy that often blocks us from seeing more clearly from a grounded and more intentional space.
The philosophy of yoga and its various practices is a science of universal truth and its teachings are as valid today as they were in ancient times. According to these teachings, the goal of life is to discover our true nature in order to connect with our divine nature, which needs clear insight into how we are!
Through these 4 weeks, we’ll explore the meditative aspects of our yoga, allowing the more subtle practices of the eight limbed path to become something more tangible and alive. There’ll be relaxed and informal discussions around technique and experience as well as spending time exploring the techniques themselves.
Open to all levels of experience and there will be no asana. Come in comfortable clothing, bring an open mind and feel free to bring a notebook to join Phoebe, an established meditator for this 4 week journey into mediation.
